Rod wipers “wipe” rods and cylinders, literally, and remove debris and other matter. This prevents wear and tear, as well as early failure. A typical wiper is not designed to perform sealing functions, instead, its function is to protect sealing elements. There are several types of wipers designed for various conditions, including heavy, medium and light duty applications. Some medium duty wipers provide both wiping and sealing functions, with a wiper on one side to clean and a U lip on the other to provide a seal. These types of wipers create a dry rod system. Other types of wipers feature a double lip that removes debris while allowing for lubrication.

Standard Rod wipers utilize 80 durometer Nitrile. 70 and 90 durometer are also available, as well as a variety of other compounds.

Available in the following Materials

Buna Nitrile Carboxylated Nitrile EPR, EPDM, EPT Viton
Fluorocarbon Silicone Neoprene Polyurethane
